SYMBOLOGY AND THE ILLUMINATI

SYMBOLOGY AND THE ILLUMINATI

Recently, there has been much debate in the media about whether or not the symbols and doctrine taught by the Freemasons is benign, something that will enlighten you and make you a better person or something evil, and for those who believe in God, immoral.

It is possible to trace most of their symbols back to their origins, and to find books written by some of their more famous members which state what they believe their purpose to be. However, they differ in opinion. Why would some members like Albert Pike, give different meanings to their symbols and rituals?

The Sun-god

Dr. Robert Hieronimus has said, "As with all secret societies, there are levels, and if you are on the lower levels, you don't even know there are upper levels."

Referring to Ancient Egypt, he said, "The priests would tell the serfs, the guy that tilled the land, and they would say, 'The Sun is god.' They accepted that very low level interpretation, all physical. That's not what the priests believed. The priests believed there was a second level. The priests believed that it is not the physical Sun that is the supreme being, ... it's the spirit which flows through the physical Sun that is the supreme deity. However, there is another level, and the priests didn't even know it. Those that are involved and elevated to....the third level, which is a better, a higher level of understanding said, 'No, the Sun is not the supreme deity. Yes, spiritual energies come through the Sun. That's not what we're talking about. What we're talking about is the star, Sirius, The Dog Star.' Because the Dog Star was everything to the Ancient Egyptians."

The Egyptians associated Sirius with the god, Anubis, which looks like a dog. This is why it is called The Dog Star. Anubis guarded the gates of death. He was also the protector of mysteries. The Romans recognized a dog-like god that was the keeper of hell, as being associated with Sirius. For reasons unknown there is a 26 foot tall statue of Anubis at Denver International Airport. Denver International is reportedly full of New World Order symbology and art.

Since Robert Hieronimus is a Co-Mason, and thus not recognized by the other types of Masonic lodge in the United States, other sources of information should be considered. Co-Masons, allow women to become members and thus are not allowed to attend other lodges, such as Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

"Isis represents the visible component of Sirius(Sirius A) while Nephthys, Isis's sister, the 'dark goddess' represents the invisible component, Sirius B. As we have seen previously, 'the circle' is the orbit of Sirius B, called Anubis. Anubis was also called 'the horizon'. 'Horizon' in Egyptian is aakh-t, and what has come to interest me more recently is that aakh-t is also the name of the Great Pyramid. It would seem therefore that another name for Anubis was Aakhuti, since it was used to mean 'the god who dwelleth in the horizon', and as we have seen from Plutarch, this is Anubis."
(Temple, Robert K.G., The Sirius Mystery, 1979)

In Egypt, when Sirius rose in the East, the annual flooding of the Nile began. Since all life in Egypt depended on this yearly occurance, it was believed to have a divine cause. They believed that Isis would then appear and give birth to Horus. Horus, Isis and made up an Egyptian Trinity.

Symbols are said to have an esoteric meaning and an exoteric meaning. The esoteric meaning is the real, and deeper meaning, that is only known to a few, who keep it secret. The symbol also has the exoteric meaning which is basically a made up explanation, told to everyone else. This results in the current state we now find ourselves in. To some people, any given symbol has multiple meanings. To one man, the meaning might be evil, to another, it might be perfectly innocent. A third man, who is better informed, knows that they are both right, but their reasons for finding a symbol evil or innocent are incorrect. Some people will try to tell you that it depends on which way a pentagram is pointing whether or not it is an evil symbol.

As far as symbols and the Masons are concerned, Albert Pike had this to say, " Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries, Hermeticism and Alchemy, conceals it's secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of it's sybols to mislead those who deserve only to be mislead...The Blue Degrees are but the outer court or portico of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed to the Initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretation. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine he understands them. Their true explication is reserved for the Adepts, the Princes of Masonry." (Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of Freemasonry, pg. 104, 105 & 819).

I have known second and third generation 32nd degree Masons who had no idea what was really going on. Pike's reference to 'the Elect' would be a possible explanation, because not all Masons hold office in the lodge. Pike also points out that the upper level Masons regard anyone else as deserving to be misled. This shows contempt, if nothing else. He has also disproven their claim that they are not a religion.

To return to the sun as a symbol, the reason that the Egyptians and in modern times, the Masons, orient their buildings toward the east, is because that is where the Sun and the Dog Star appear. In Masonic lodges, there is a five pointed star under the alter where the candidate is initiated or obligated. Pentagrams are also five pointed stars. The directions of east and west are significant. The Tabernacle written about in the Old Testament had to be entered from a gate on the east, so that you were facing west as you entered. This would put your back to the sun. Ezekiel 8:16 shows a vision in which the prophet sees Hebrew men facing the east, with their backs to the temple of the Lord, and shows it as an abomination. In Pagan temples, when standing in front of an alter, you would be facing the east, with your back to the west. Isaiah 14:13 and Job 22:12 says that God's habitation is in the north. In contrast, Masons teach that only evil or darkness comes from the north. "Because this and every true lodge is, or ought to be, a true representation of King Solomon's Temple, which was situated north of the ecliptic; the sun and moon, therefore darting their rays from the north. We therfore, masonically, term the north a place of darkness"(Richardson, Jabez, Richardson's Monitor of Freemasonry, 1999, pg.17)

We are informed by several distinguished writers that it[masonry] is a corruption of the Greek word mesouraneio, which signifies, 'I am in the midst of heaven,' alluding to the sun, which, being 'in the midst of heaven,' is the great source of light. Others derive it directly from the ancient Egyptian Phre, the sun, and Mas, a child: Phre-Massen--i.e., Children of the Sun, or, Sons of Light." (Brown, Robert Hewitt, Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy, 2002, pg. 268)

As the first and last definitions would indicate enlightenment and Sirius, they are more consistent with other writers.

Edmond Ronayne wrote a book called Master's Carpet Or Masonry and Baal-Worship Identical. In it he quotes from the writings of actual Masons.

Eierson, Traditions of Freemasonry, p. 231:

"Egypt was repeopled after the deluge by the sons of Ham, and they made more rapid advances in recovering a knowledge of the arts and sciences partially lost by that catastrophe, than any other people, until Egypt became to be looked upon as the mother of science."

Ronayne: "The early Egyptians settlers, in their periodical observations from year to year, (as we learn from history), in search of some sign by means of which they could tell about what time the river Nile would overflow its banks, and so enable them to prepare for flight to the hill country, at last, as a reward for their continued watchfulness, beheld in the morning near the stars of Cancer, though pretty far from the bands of the Zodiac, toward the south, and a few weeks after their rising, one of the most brilliant if not the brightest star in the whole heavens, ascencing the horizon. It appeared a little before the rising of the sun, which had rendered it almost invisible for a month or two previous. This phenomenon becoming visible only a short time before the rising of the Nile, the Egyptians pitched upon the appearing of this magnificent star as the infalible sign of the beginning of the inundation, and hence, it became the public mark on which every one was to keep a watchful eye not to miss the instant of retiring to the higher grounds.

As it was seen but a very little time above the horizon, it seemed to show itself to the Egyptians merely to warn them of the overflowing which soon followed. They then gave this star two names, having a very natural relation to the helps they borrowed therefrom. It warned them of the danger, whereupon they called it Thaaut or Thot, the dog; they called it also the barker, the monitor, in Egyptian Anubis. And it may be worthy of brief mention that this same Anubis or dog star of the early Egyptians, is now the 'Blazing Star' of the Masonic philosophy and has the very same meaning for the Mason today, (as will be show hereafter) that it formerly had for the dwellers in lower Egypt.

The verneration with which this magnificent star was at first regarded, gradually led to its worship, which after a time, was followed by the worship of other stars and heavenly bodies, and then again by others, until at length the doctrine of sabaism or star-worship became the common religion of Egypt and the adjacent countries, and finally led to the polytheism which afterwards every where prevailed.

But while polytheism, or the worship of many gods, was the universal religion of the multitudes or the common people in all pagan nations, yet the sun or sun-god, under different appellations, was everywhere constituted as the chief diety. And while the pagan masses offered their public devotions to their myriads of senseless idols, the pagan priests and philosophers and rulers had a different worship, which they practiced only in secret which they practiced only in secret, which they conducted with the most imposing ceremonies, and which they always celebrated in honor of the chief diety, or sun-god. This secret worship of paganism in every country was termed the 'Mysteries,' and that which was revived by the 'Masonic fathers' in the beginning of the eighteenth century; so that what was called the 'Mysteries' of Osiris, or Baal, or Bacchus, or Dionysius in ancient times, is today known at the mysteries of Masonry. On this point all our Masonic writers, as has been already mentioned, give such plain, positive, unqualified, affirmative testimony, that, if we do not believe what they say concerning their own pet philosophy, it is useless to receive human testimony on any subject. And for the purpose of illustratig this Baal worship, and as if to give emphasis to their teaching, the emblem of the sun, moon, stars, &c., on the preceding page, is found in all our lodges and manuals."

He then quotes from some of these writers.
Traditions of Masonry, pg. 232

"More pages of the writings of the ancients have been preserved to our times, are devoted to the MYSTERIES than to the development of empires. Hence we have better knowledge of the cermonial and legend of many of the phases of the mysteries, than we have of the country in which they were practiced."

Mackey, Lexicon of Freemasonry, pg. 125:

"EGYPTIAN MYSTERIES.----Egypt was the cradle of the mysteries of paganism. At one time in possession of all the learning and religion that was to be found in the world, it extended into other nations in the influence of its sacred rites, and its secret doctrines."

pg. 315:

"This is the name given to those religious assemblies of the ancients, whose ceremonies were conducted in secret, whose doctrines were know only to those who had obtained the right of knowledge by a previous initiation, and whose members were in possession of signs and tokens, by which they were enabled to recognize each other."

"Warburton's definition of the 'Mysteries' was as follows. Each of the pagan gods had (besides the public and open) a secret worship paid unto him, to which none were admitted but those who had been selected by preparatory ceremonies termed the mysteries." (Divine Legation, vol. i. pg. 189)

"The most important of the mysteries were those of Mithras, celebrated in Persia; of Osiris and Isis, celebrated in Egypt; of Eleusis, instituted in Greece, and the Scandinavivan and Druidical rites which were confined to the Gothic and Celtic tribes."

Traditions of Freemasonry, pg. 233:

"And the mysteries througout the world were the same in substance, being derived from one source and celebrated in honor of the same deities, though acknowledged under different appellations."

Mackey, Lexicon of Freemasonry, pg. 315:

"In all these various mysteries we find a singular unity of design, clearly indicating a common origin.

The ceremonies of initiation were all funereal in their character. They celebrated the death and resurrection of some cherished being, either the object of esteem as a hero, or of devotion as a god.

Subordination of degrees was instituted, and the candidate was subjected to probations varying in their character and severity....the rites were practiced in the darkness of night, and the full fruition of knowledge for which so much labor was endured, and so much danger incurred, was not attained until the aspirant, well tried and thoroughly purified, had reached the place of wisdom and of light."

Unfortunately, when a man becomes a candidate to enter the Masons, they don't tell him precisely what he is swearing an oath to. They use all this allegory to confuse them. Nevertheless, he has to "declare upon his honor" to "cheerfully conform to all the ancient usages and established customs of the fraternity." Most people think they are just agreeing to follow the rules of the lodge. They don't realize that the "ancient usages and customs" are meaning the ancient religious practices of pagan priests.

They confuse initiates by referring to a Great Architect of the Universe, implying that they mean God. They also tell him the legend of Hiram Abiff and tie that to Solomon's Temple, which makes the average man think there is a Judeo-Christian basis. But according to their own writings, that is a fallacy.

Traditions of Freemasonry, pg. 240:

"The Masonic legend stands by itself unsuported by history or other than its own traditions; yet we readily recognize in Hiram Abiff the Osiris of the Egyptians, the Mithras of the Persians, the Bacchus of the Greeks, the Dionysius of the fraternity of the Artificers, and the Atys of the Phrygians, whose passion, death and resurrection were celebrated by these people respectively.

For many ages, and everywhere, Masons celebrated the death of Hiram Abiff. Everywhere among the ancient nations there existed a similar allegory."

Mackey, Manual of the Lodge, pg. 99

"The idea of the legend was undoubtedly borrowed from the ancient mysteries, where the lesson was the same as that conveyed now in the third degree of Masonry."

Sickles, Freemasons Guide, pg. 196:

"The Egyptian rite was a dramatic representation. This myth is the antetype of temple legend. Osiris and the Tyrian Architect, i.e. Hiram Abiff--Are one and the same--not a mortal individual, but an immortal principle."

Although they tend to try and appear to be Judeo-Christian in the U.S., again you have to refer to their own writers.

Traditions of Freemasonry, pg. 233:

"The mysteries were introduced, (so says tradition,) into India, by Brahma; into China and Japan, by Buddha; into Egypt by Thoth, the son of Mizraim; into Persia by Zeradhurst; into Greece, by Melampus, or Cadmus; into Boeotia by Prometheus and his son; into Crete, by Minos; and into Samothracia, by Eumospos, or Dardanus; and into Messene, by Caucon; into Thebes, by Methapus; into Athens, by Erecthus; into Etruria, by Philostratus; and into the city or Arene, by Lycus; into Thrace, by Orpheus; into Italy, by the Pilasgi; into Cyprus, by Cinyras; into Gaul and Britain, by Gomer; into Scandinavia, by Sigge, or Odin; into Mexico, by Vitzliputzli; into Peru, by Manco Capac and his wife, and into Judea, by Hiram Abiff."

This one statement seems to claim a connection to every major pagan religion known to man.

Pierson, Traditions of Freemasonry, pg. 34:

"Bazot tells us in his Manuel de Franc Macon, ---Manual of Freemasonry---p. 154, that the verneration which Masons entertain for the east confirms an opinion previously announced, that the religious system of Masonry comes from the east, and has reference to the primitive religion whose first occupation was the worship of the sun."

Mackey, Symbolism of Freemasonry, pg. 27. 28

"Among the Egyptians, too, the chief deity, Osiris was but another name for the sun, while his arch-enemy and destroyer, Typhon, was the typification of night and darkness."

"Many, indeed all of the Masonic symbols of the present day, can only be thoroughly comprehended and properly appreciated by this reference to sun worship."

Mackey, Symbolism of Freemasonry, pg. 20:

"One thing at least, is incapable of refutation, and that is, that we are indebted to the Tyrian Masons for the introduction of the symbol of Hiram Abiff. The idea of the symbol, although modified by the Jewish Masons, is not Jewish in its inception. It was evidently borrowed from the pagan mysteries, where Bacchus, Adonis, Proserpine and a host of other apotheosized beings play the same role that Hiram does in the Masonic Mysteries."

Albert Pike said, in Morals and Dogma, page 486, "Sirius still glitters in our lodges as the Blazing Star." The Gnostics used the term Blazing Star to refer to Sirius. He also wrote that the Pentagram dates back to the Pentalph of the Greek philosopher, Pythagoras. It was made up of five alphas or the letter A, in the Greek alphabet.Have you ever noticed that the stars on the flag of the USA have five points? Another name for Sirius is The Eastern Star. The female counterpart to the Masons call themselves The Eastern Star.

The All Seeing Eye and the Great Pyramid

The All Seeing Eye, is also called the Eye of Horus. Masonic Dogma, attempts to draw a correlation between Horus and Christ. The capstone of The Great Pyrimid is believed to be missing. There is an All Seeing Eye floating above a pyramid on the back of the dollar bill. Although some people belive the rays that come from behind it are sun rays, they are actually representing the light from Sirius. The Blazing Star of Masons is actually a better representation of the concept. There is a star with an All Seeing Eye in it's center, and surrounding both are the rays of Sirius, arranged in the form of a pentagon. There are myths that say that the return of the capstone of the Great Pyramid will signal the return of The Great Initiate. Some Masons believe that This means the return of Christ, because they are given this lower level meaning. Albert Pike gave the true meaning of the Masonic Trinity. They have many paintings and representations showing the Sun above one column, the Moon above another column, and the All Seeing Eye or Blazing Star in the middle. In Morals and Dogma, on pages 13-14, he says, "The Sun and Moon...represent the two grand principles...the male and the female..both shed their light upon their offspring, the Blazing Star, or Horus."

The All Seeing Eye itself is giving a meaning that is suitable for those at lower levels. New members are told that it stands for the All Seeing Eye of God, meaning the Judeo-Christian God, and not Osiris. It is supposed to remind members that everything they do is seen by God, who watches over us all. But the fact that it is enclosed in an Egyptian pyramid points to it's true origin. "The Eye of God is Shiva (Siva), the Destroyer."Alice A. Bailey, Discipleship in the New Age, pg. 265. Shiva is the Indian equivalent to Osiris.

Referring to the Eye of Horus, A guide to the exhibition galleries of the British museum, Bloomsbury - Page 96, British Museum,1882, pg. 196, says: "it preserved the body from decay." Which is in total accord with the Masonic writers who say that the Mystery schools were essentially cults of the dead.

People have become immune to the occult meanings for the Eye and the pyramid symbol, because mainstream media is being used to numb us to it. We see celebrities making the sign for the eye and forming their hands into pyramids all over the place. Many corporations use either or both on their logos.

The Great Pyramid can be said to represent The Trinity, but which one. Triangle's can symbolise Sacred Geometry, as well. The pyramid within a circle that the Gay community chose for their symbol also has a Satanic meaning. In rituals the triangle/pyramid is used to call a summoned demon into and the circle is used to keep it contained there. If there were no circle around it, the demon could get loose and possibly possess those who summoned it. (Guiley, Rosemary, Zaffis, John, Encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology, 2009, pg. 40) The Earthly Triangle, also called the Pyramid Triangle and Fire Triangle, is a triangle with one point up. (Shirley Plessner, Symbolism of the Eastern Star). It also represents Divine Man, or the idea that man can become divine. In his book, Signs and Symbols of Primordial Man, Albert Churchward wrote that the upward triangle was a symbol for Set. Anton La Vey said that Set was one of Satan's names.

The Owl

The owl represents being able to see in the dark, or being "enlightened." In Jewish mythology, Lillith, was Adam's first wife, who mated with demons rather than submit to him. She is often depicted with owls. Some cultures such as the native beliefs of Kenya, owls are harbingers of death. Many other cultures belief they are signs of bad luck, ill health, or death. The Roman statesman Pliny the Elder wrote that owls foretell only evil and are to be dreaded more than all other birds.Medieval cultures believed owls to be witches or wizards. Merlin is depicted as always having an owl on his shoulder. T.H. White wrote The Once And Future King, in which Merlin has an owl named Archimedes. This was repeated in Disney's The Sword in the Stone. Witches are believed by many cultures to have owls as familiars.

Owls are often depicted as 'Wise Old Owls" such as in Winnie The Pooh, Tootsie Roll Commercials, the 'Give A Hoot, Don't Pollute' campaign, etc. This goes back to ancient times and Greek and Egyptian myths. The Greek city of Athens had an owl on it's coins. Their patron goddess, Athene, was the goddess of wisdom, but also the goddess of darkness. In fact the scientific name for owls is Athene. The association with wisom and scholars is believed to come from the way it appears to be studying it's environment intently from it's perch.

Another connection to Masons and Athena is Semiramis. She was the wife of Ninus. Ninus was the King of Ninevah. Semiramis was a powerful queen. More importantly to Masons, she was a great designer and builder. She may have created the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. She is also connected to Athena, Isis and Ishtar.( Fanthorpe, Lionel, Fanthorpe, Patricia, Mysteries and Secrets of the Masons, 2006, pg. 32)

The Caananite god, Moloch sometimes appears as an owl. (Warren, Michael David, Into The Rabbit Hole, 2005, pg. 304) The Old Testament is full of prohibitions against the worship of Moloch and the child sacrifice associated with it. The Egyptians used the owl as a hieroglyph for the sound 'm'. They often drew the bird with it's legs broken so that it could not come to life.(Mobile Reference, The Illustrated Encyclopedia of European Birds: An Essential Guide ... 2008)

As with many other symbols, owls have been given a traditional Christian meaning. They are supposed to represent Christ bringing the light of his teachings to a world in darkness. But this is in conflict with Gnostic belief that owls were to be associated with Lillith. The Greek word for an owl gnoma is associated with the word gnostic, which became 'to know' in English.

Owls are used as symbols by the Bohemian Grove, Illuminati and Freemasons. Alex Jones managed to get film footage of the giant owl used in the Bohemian Grove rituals. There is an owl in the layout of the garden at Capital Hill, in Washington, D.C. and another one hidden on the dollar bill.

The Skull and Crossbones

The Skull and Crossbones has traditionally been used as a symbol of danger. We are all familiar with it's association with poisonous substances. It was a Christian symbl for many centuries, due to a legend that the cross Christ was crucified on rested on the skull and bones of Adam. Pirates began using the Jolly Roger flag in the 1700's and the Catholic church then forbade the symbol to be used on vestments. It did not begin to be used on medicine and poison bottles until the nineteenth century.(Griffenhagen, George B., History of Drug Containers and Their Labels, 1999, pg. 92)

Several authors on the Templars say that it was a Templar symbol derived from their cross. (Kenyan, J. Douglas, Forbidden Religion: Suppressed Heresies of the West, 2006, pg.71)

"Bradley agrees with Baigent and Leigh that the Templar fleet sailded north through the Irish Sea to their final destination, the western fiords of Scotland, carefully avoiding the Irish coast because of pro-Vatican control of the ports.

The fleet landed in various areas north of present-day Glasgow, in the environs of Oban. Here Templar graves were marked with the familiar Templar symbol of skull-and-crossbones.

In Scotland the Templars apparently chose not to organize themselves into a new order of knighthood but elected instead to spread their secret doctrine more widely by creating Freemasonry under the leadership of the powerful Saint-Clairs (Sinclairs) of Roslin. At this point, the naval war with the Vatican began in earnest.

Says Bradley 'An upsurge in European piracy begins from this time and the pattern of it suggests that many pirates were not mere freebooters who would attack anyone, but very curious 'pirates' who confined their attentions to Vatican and loyal Catholic shipping.

The Templar fleet was to be split into two parts. One would anchor in the Orkneys and prepare for Sinclair's ambitious journeys to North America. The other was to sail the Atlantic and Mediterranean as a naval force attacking ships associated with the Vatican and their allies. Some of the Templar fleet would go on to be absorbed into the Portugese navy and fly the Portugese flag, while other ships---usually commanded by French or English captains---flew a black flag with a skull-and-crossbones, a symbol that would become known worldwide as the Jolly Roger...

Authors such as Baigent, Lincol, and Bradley maintain that the skull-and-crossbones imagery that the Templars employed is nothing but the old Templar "cross pattee" rendered in human skeletal material, with the knobs of the leg bones being the pattees of the Templar cross. The message of the skull-and-crossbones is abundantly clear, says Bradley: It was a 'neo-Templar' vow to oppose the Roman Church to the death, and thus the symbolism of human bones on both the flag and Templar gravestones."

Apparently, the Jolly Roger was named after Roger II of Sicily. He was associated with the Templars during the Crusades. He governed his territory independenty of the Vatican, and his court was a center of the arts and sciences. He established a navigational school in Sicily, and invited Jews and Muslims there.

Francis Drake was associated with Freemasonry and wrote books on a proposed New World Order. During his time, he was heavily involved in piracy against Spanish Catholic ships.

It has been used as a military symbol. Most people are familiar with the Nazi use of it. The Masons used to have it on their aprons. (Hodapp, Christopher, Von Kannon Alice, The Templar Code for Dummies, 2007, pg. 199)

The Skull and Bones Society, is the most famous organization that gains it's name from this symbol. Apparently, it is not safe to ask some people about it. A University of Florida student named Andrew Meyer, was tazered after asking Senator John Kerry, if he was a member, in 2007.

The Caduceus

Snakes coiled around rods are associated with Sumerian deity, Ningishita, the god of healing. This symbol is called the caduceus. It is the universal symbol for medicine. This is because of the Greek god of medicine and healing, Hermes, who was called Mercury by the Romans and was synonomous with the Egyptian god, Thoth. He is the patron deity of alchemy. He used a sort of magic wand that was the caduceus to transform reality, which is why it is also the sybol for alchemical tranmustation of one substance into another. Alchemists used a simple form of it that looks very much like the dollar sign. They used it to denote the substance Mercury which they called quick silver. Astrologers also used it to represent the planet Mercury. At one point it was on British pound notes. Another of Hermes' associations was with commerce, or money, as such, he is also the protector of merchants and thieves. In the Old Testament, Moses used a staff with a serpent on it to heal the Israelites who had been bitten by fiery serpents. This ' the rod of asklepios' only has one snake on it. Asklepios was a Greek physician who became deified as the god of medicine. The filarial worm 'Dracunculus medinensis' also called 'the fiery serpent', or 'the dragon of Medina' and 'the guinea worm' crawled around the victim's body, just under the skin. Physicians treated this infection by cutting a slit in the patient's skin, just in front of the worm's path. As the worm crawled out the cut, the physician carefully wound the pest around a stick until the entire animal had been removed. It is believed that because this type of infection was so common, physicians advertised their services by displaying a sign with the worm on a stick.

The Dogon tribe of Africa, have an interesting religious mythology. It bears many similarities to Egyptian mythology. and some to Greek myths. Early goddess statues from Ur, from around 4500 BC are also serpent goddesses. Like thee gods of the Dogon, the statues in Ur have serpent bellies with lines across them. they have casques, slanted eyes, cow noses, fish tails, and unusual bumps on their shoulders.

Shannon Dorey, wrote a book called The Nummo in 2006. It tells much of the Dogon mythology and her opinions on how their myths tie into all of the other religions of the world. The Dogon believe that their gods came to earth from somewhere else, and experimented with interbreeding with humans or other animals. The first offspring of this experiment were androgynous, as had been the Nummo. These early hybrids were immortal and could fertilize themselves and reproduce independenty. In the same way a clone might, they remembered their former lives. But later offspring were male. The Nummo and the Dogon, believed them to have been born without souls. They had no memory of previous lives. These male offspring were associated with the jackal and were evil.

In their symbology, the androgynous beings were associated with the sacred feminine and the number four, and the sun. The male offspring were associated with the number three and the moon.

In order to come up with a better genetic product, the Nummo bred the males to the androgynous offspring. They eventually came up with a perfect product. They called him The Giver of Speech.

Tacitus wrote in his Regnator Omnium Deus, that Odin or Woden, was the same as the Roman god Mercury and the Greek god Hermes. He is associated with a jackal. He carried the caduceus, which looks a great deal like the symbol for DNA. The Dogon ancestor stole fire from the Nummo and Hermes was said to be the first to light a fire, and also to be associated with thieves.

The Egyptian counterpart to Mercury and Hermes was Thoth. Dennis William Hauck, in his book, Sorcerer's Stone: A Beginner's Guide to Alchemy, on pg. 17, had this to say:

" His symbol was a pair of serpents twisted around a central staff ( the caduceus). Since serpents represent the life force in most ancient cultures, the caduceus be came the symbol of healing and medicine. There is a remarkable similarity between Thoth's caduceus and the structure of the DNA molecule, the double helix of proteins that is the blueprint of all life....

The legend continues to about 10,000 B.C., when Thoth, knowing a great flood was about to envelope the planet, sealed his scrolls inside a great stone pillar as a kind of time capsuel of wisdom for later generations. He also inscribed a succinct summary of his teachings on a gemstone tablet and sealed it in another great pillar. These two pillars survived The Great Flood and were later discovered by Egyptians. They are mentioned in texts dating to the New Dynasty (1500-1050 B.C.), a period when alchemy flourished in Egypt. They were also described by travelers to Egypt, including the Greek historian Herodotus who visited Egypt in 400 B.C. He called them the 'Pillars of Hermes.'"

Dennis Hauck also wrote in The Complete Idiots Guide to Alchemy. On page 311:

"Scholars insist it all began with the Greek healer Asclepius, who adopted the caduceus to symbolize healing, though the connection goes back much farther to the origigal Hermes. The Ebers Papyrus, a 68-foot-long scroll that is the oldest surviving book in the world, tells us: 'Man's guide is Thoth, who bestows on him the gifts of speech, who makes the books and illumines those who are learned therein, and the physicians who follow him that they may work cures.'"

We find the concept of androgyny and the basis of life in the Chinese yin-yang symbol. "sybolizes the coiling of two serpentine and complementary forms into a single androgynous vital principle. (Narby, Jeremy, The cosmic serpent: DNA and the origins of knowledge, pg. 257)

This ties the mythology of the Dogon, and their Giver of Speech, directly to Thoth. And since their gods were serpent-like beings, to the caduceus.

The Sumerian god Ea had a son called Ningishida. He is said to have manipulated the genes between the first and second generation of men. Due to this, he is depicted with what appears to be a DNA double helix in his hands. He had a mastery over snakes, and the helix forms in his hands either had a scaly appearance or had snake heads. Ningishida was called Hermes by the Greeks. (Iroku, Osita, A Day in the Life of God, pg. 100) He was sometimes shown as a serpent with a human head and represented by a dragon with horns. He is associated with the Hydra constellation. He was the patron of medicine and may have been androgynous since it it not certain whether he was male or female. The 'nin' prefix to his name could indicate either the feminine or just denote deity. Depictions of him date to around 2000 B.C.

There is a pillar in Rosslyn Chapel called the Apprentice Pillar. When it is related to Norse mythology, it represents the Tree of Knowledge, Ygdrasill. It held up the heavens from the earth and the dragons of time who chewed at the roots. Odin sacrificed himself on this Tree of Knowledge in order to learn the secrets of wisdom and creation. The Christian representation is of The Tree of Life. If you look at it, it looks like DNA or a caduceus.

This Apprentice Pillar is tied to Masonic mythology. An Account of the Chapel of Rosslyn, was written in 1774 by Dr. Forbes, Bishop of Caithness.

"The Master Mason having received from the Founder a model of a pillar of exquisite workmanship and design, hesitated to carry it out until he had gone to Rome or some other foreign part to see the original. He went abroad and in his absence an apprentice, having dreamt that he had finished the pillar, at once set to work and carried out the design as it now stands, a perfect marvel of workmanship.

The Master Mason on his return, seeing the pillar completed, instead of being delighted at the success of his pupil, was so stung with envy that he asked who dared to do it in his absence. On being told that it was his apprentice, he was so inflamed with rage and passion that he struck him with a mallet, killed him on the spot and paid the penalty for his rash and cruel act."

This story is very similar to the Legend of Hiram Abif, that is part of Masonic sybolism.

Within the village of Rosslyn, the Roslin Institute is also located. This is where on July 5, 1996, Dolly the Sheep was cloned.

One place we often see the modern form of this symbol is the double helix symbol for genetic material. In paintings, Satan is often depicted as a serpent coiled around a tree instead of a rod.

Hexagrams, Pentagrams, Pentacles and the Seal of Solomon

The hexagram or pentagram was used in ancient occult rituals to invoke demons or to communicate with their gods. In combination with human sacrifice it was used to appease their gods. The dollar bill has thirteen pentagrams inside a cloud.

What is the difference between a pentagram and a hexagram?

Hexagrams are used as symbols of Tantrism, and Buddhism.( Bühnemann, Gundrun, Mandalas and Yantras in the Hindu Traditions, 2003, pg. 44) Hexagrams are used by witches, wizards, in astrology.(Zell-Ravenheart, Oberon, Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard, 2004, pg. 146) Because a hexagram has a hidden '666' within it, it is considered to be a powerful Satanic image. If you look at a hexagram, there are six sides facing clockwise, six facing counterclockwise, and six sides to the hexagon in the center.

The hexagram was used as a "stand-by for Magicians and Alchemists. The Sorcerers believed it represented the footprint of a special kind of demon called a 'trud', and used it in ceremonies both to call up demons and to keep them away." Gary Jennings, Black Magic, White Magic, Eau Claire, WI, The Dial Press, 1964, p. 51. Also Harry E. Wedeck, Treasury of Witchcraft , New York, Philosophical Library, 1961, p. 135

The Eastern Star uses one for it's most prominent symbol. "The six pointed star is used in Masonic work and is also found in other well known secret orders." ( Plessner, Shirley, Symbolism of the Eastern Star, 1956, pp. 14.) A 'hex death' is magically induced death from a curse or from breaking a taboo. (Guilley, Rosemary, The Encyclopedia of Magic and Alchemy, 2006, pg. 138)

Pentagrams and hexagrams are symbols of the sex act and reproduction. Albert G. Mackey in his book, The Symbolism of Freemasonry, pp. 195, 1869. The triangle pointing downward "is a female symbol corresponding to the 'yoni' and the upward pointing triangle is the male, the 'lingam'. When the two triangles are interlaced, it represents the union of the active and passive forces in nature; it represents the male and female elements." [Also explained in Did You Know? Vignettes in Masonry from the Royal Arch Mason Magazine , Missouri Lodge of Research, 1965, p. 132, Wes Cook, Editor. He is referring to hexagrams, but the principle applies to pentagrams as well. It depends on whether or not the fifth point is at the bottom or the top of a pentagram.

Pentagrams are sometimes seen facing down and sometimes facing up. They are associated with Satanic worship. Most people are more aware that they have this association than are aware of the hexagrams association. If it faces up, it is called a pentacle.

"The pentacle is a 5-pointed star (a pentagram inside a circle. It represents the Element of Earth and is associated with the body, prosperity, nature, and the Tarot suit of Pentacles. It is used to bless other things with the energy of the earth, such as the bowl of water that you place on the pentacle while you ritually bless it." (Greenbough, Aurora, Jewell, Cathy, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Spells and Spellcraft, 2004, pg. 67)

Some people will tell you that the Seal of Solomon hexagram is the same thing as the Star of
David. Despite the subtle differences, they are very similar. The triangles in the Star of David lie flat against each other and those in the other type interlock. The Star of David or 'Magen David does not have a circle around it, because the circle is used to keep magic contained. Magen is the Hebrew word for 'shield' and the Magen David is thus also called the Shield of David. The Seal of Solomon, is derived from a legend that says King Solomon had a signet ring with this symbol on it. The ring gave him the power to command demons, genies or talk to animals. Those who practice alchemy, believe that the triangle pointing upward is the symbol for fire, and the triangle pointing downward, is the symbol for water. If you combine the two opposites, you get the symbol for transmutation. When they are combined they also create the symbols for earth and air. So, the combination symbolises a perfect unity of all four elements. It may have been associated with architectural elements on their temples, which would have been fashioned after Solomon's Temple. In the 17th century, in Vienna the boundary separating the Jewish part of the city was marked by a stone with the pentagram on one side and a cross on the other. Since the 18th century, it has been used to mark the graves of Jews. Most likely, Jews began using the Star of David, due to the practice of Kabbala. The fact remains that there is no Biblical reason for using it.

"In both the Scottish Rite and the York Rite one symbol that is always featured is the Seal of Solomon, or the six pointed star--also called the Star of David. This symbol is composed of two interlaced triantles, and some have suggested that this is also what the square and compasses make when they are interlaced. What is significant from an alchemical standpoint is that i ancient alchemical symbolism, fire was represented by an upward triangle, air by an upward triangle with a line through it, water with a downward triangle, and earth with a downward triangle with a line through it. If you combine all of these together into one composite symbol, the end result is the Seal of Solomon. This symbol then, from an alchemical standpoint, represented the combination ofall the elements into one whole, and by extension represented the Philosopher's Stone itself. Perhaps not surprisingly to Masonic historians is the fact that first place this symbol showed up on monuments in Europe was not at Jewish temples, as would be assumed, but rather in temples designed and built by the Knights Templar...

However it must be added that both Rites delve into the significance of the Knights Templar which are pivotal in alchemical history. There are two prevailing schools of thought as to where
Freemasonry came from: one is that it came directly from the Knights Templar after their suppression in 1307, and the other is that it came from the cathedral builders of the Middle Ages. However, we now know that it was the Knights Templar who provided the initial imputes for the cathedrals, as they created over 1,000 gothic style churches, cathedrals, and chapels in their short 200 years of public existence. These cathedrals, like Notre Dame of Paris, are completely covered with symbols showing the entire alchemical process. In fact, the front facade of Notre Dame of Paris has several images all along it which don't depict the Bible at all, but rather every stage in alchemy. Figures like the elusive St. Dennis is featured with his head cut off--symbolizing the caput mortum stage. St. Denis was actually the initiate Dionysus the Aeropagite--who was initiated in the Pythagorian alchemical schools which re-enacted the initiation rites of Dionysus--who was Osiris in Egypt."
(Hogan, Timothy, The Alchemical Keys to Masonic Ritual, pg. 35)

There is Bible scripture that may tell when Hebrews actually started using stars for symbols. At the time they were worshipping Moloch. Amos 5:26 "But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves." Acts 7:37-43 This is that Moses...to whom our fathers wold not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hears turned back again into Egypt... And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifices unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the HOST OF HEAVEN: as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon. This shows that Chiun and Remphan are the same god.

The six pointed star was the Egyptian hieroglyph for for Amsu, which was the name of Horus after he died and was resurrected. “The god of time was Chium in Egypt, or Saturn...and Chium is the same as Cain.” (Blavatsky,Helena, The Secret Doctrine, 1893)

“Chiun is sometimes called Kaiwan, or spelled Khiun, and means star. The star of Saturn was a god... Sakkuth and Kaiwan or Chiun are objects of idolatrous worship and are Assyrian gods. In Akkadian texts both names mean the planet or star, Saturn.” (Graham, The Six-Pointed Star, pp. 28-29)

All you really need to know about which way Masons at the higher levels lean in their religious beliefs, is stated by Albert Pike.

"That which we must say to the crowd is: We worship a God, but it is the God one adores without superstition. To you, Sovereign Grand Instructors General, we say this, that you may repeat it to the Brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees: The Masonic Religion should be, by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine. If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay (The God of the Christians) whose deeds prove his cruelty, perfidy, and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests, calumniate him ?Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay (Jehovah) is also God. For the eternal Law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black. For the Absolute can only exist as two Gods: darkness being necessary to light to serve as its foil as the pedestal is necessary to the statue and the brake to the locomotive. In analogical and universal dynamics one can only lean on that which will resist. Thus the universe is balanced by two forces which maintain its equilibrium : the force of attraction and that of repulsion. These two forces exist in physics, philosophy and religion. And the scientific reality of the divine dualism is demonstrated by the phenomena of polarity and by the universal law of sympathies and antipathies. That is why the intelligent disciples of Zoroaster, as well as after them, the Gnostics, the Manicheans and the Templars have admitted, as the only logical metaphysical conception, the system of the two divine principles fighting eternally, and one cannot believe the one inferior in power to the other. The doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure philosophic Religion 'is the belief in Lucifer,' the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of Darkness and Evil."

If you look at a pentagram, you can see that it has a 'V' in it. This is the Roman symbol for the number five. In the Cabala, the Hebrew meaning for 'V' is 'Nail.'(Pennick, nigel, Magical Alphabets, 1992, pg. 229) Nail is one of the names Satanists used for the Devil. This means that when you make the 'Peace Sign' you are giving a Satanic sign.

The Square and Compass

The square and compass are the most recognized Masonic symbol. It usually has a "G" in the center. The Masons say that the square reminds the mason to square his actions by the square of virtue, and to circumscribe his passions and desires with the symbolic compass, and to remember that geometry was in the center of the Mason's trade, and God should be in the center of the Mason's life.

That is unlikely, when you remember that God is not who they worship. Is is also said to stand for Geometry, Gnosis or Generative Principle. If you are Christian, then you must believe that the Bible should be the measure of morality, not a compass and square. The Bible is often subjugated in Masonic rituals, by being placed under the compass and square. This is because they do not believe that an oath taken on the Bible has as much validity as one taken on all three. If you swear on the Bible, Square and Compass, then it is binding.

Albert Pike said:

"The square is an instrument that can be applied to level surfaces and rectilinear [that is 90-degree] angles only. The earth anciently was supposed to be a level [that is flat]. with occaisional inequalities of hills and valleys... The compasses are used to describe circles, and [are used] in spherical trigonometry in which the square cannot be used. They are therefore a fit symbol of the sky, the heavens, which form as it were, the roof of a half-sphere...

The compasses, which are a fit symbol of the heavens, are also a fit symbol of all that is heavenly and spiritual; the square, which is a fit symbol of the earth, is also a fit symbol of all that is earthly and material, in nature and man."

So, he is saying that the compass is a symbol of heaven and the square of earth. There is also another hidden meaning. The "V" symbol was the ancient sybol for the feminine, because the female pubic area is shaped like a "V'. This is also associated with the Goddess Venus. An upside down form of this, represented the male penis. The square and compass together form this shape. This represents the Sacred Marriage. The Book Breaking The Code of the Secret Societies, by Murl Vance, says that an ancient plate was found with a human figure with two heads and two hands, surrounded by the sun, moon, and five stars, which represent seven planets. One head is male and the other female. The hand attached to the male part holds a compass, and the hand attached to the female part holds a square. Basically these represent the male and female generative principles. In combination, they represent transmutation.

"The Philosopher's Stone itself was always symbolized by a perfect cubic stone, which is a familiar symbol in the symbolic lodge of Masonry, and this "stone" is emphasized in the FC pass and MM word, as we pointed out. The other symbol it was sometimes depicted as was a circle, square and triangle interlaced. This represented the spiritual gold circle, the four cornered square of the four elements, and the triangle of sulphur, salt and mercury. In the center of every Masonic Lodge can be found a circle, square, and triangle--represented by the compasses, square, and three lesser lights. the 47th problem of Euclid, as credited to Pythagoras, was also a significant symbol to alchemists. this is because alchemists believed that it revealed the correct proportions of salf, sulphur, and mercury that needed to go into making the perfect elixir."(Hogan, Timothy, The Alchemical Keys to Masonic Ritual, pg. 27)

The Obelisk

The obelisk is another symbol of importance to Masons. It is believed to have represented a frozen ray of the sun. Most of them were dedicated to the sun god Ra.There is a book that says that "an institution similar to Freemasonry, existed in Egypt before pyramids and obelisks; because the Masonic tools, perpendicular, square, compass, plummet, etc., were require to construct Egypt's architectural wonders, and must therefore have antedated those wonders. Moreover, these implements must have been used in building Babel, Nineveh, and Babel's Tower in the valley of the Euphrates...As in Egypt, Pharoahs, princes, hierophants, and magnates were masons, engineers, and architects, Freemasons of our day may look with pride toward the cradel of civilization, of which the coming obelisk will be a worthy representative in the New World.... In the first century of our era Pliny wrote: 'Monarchs entered into a kind of rivalry in forming elongated blocks of this stone, known as obelisks, and consecrated them to the divinity of the sun. The blocks had this form given to the divinity of the sun. The blocks had this form given to them in resemblance to the rays of that luminary, which are so called in the Egyptian language." The Roman archeologist little dreamed that, nineteen centuries after he penned these lines, modern savants would decipher from hieroglyphs Sati, which is the name of an Egyptian goddess and means sun-beam. "(Weisse, John Adam,The Obelisk and Freemasonry According to the Discoveries of Belzoni and Commander Gorringe, 1880)

The rest of the book covers sybols found on Egyptian monuments that were believed to represent different degrees of Masonry.

The Masonic Pillars

The Masonic Pillars have been given both a benign meaning and a more pagan one.

"Pillars are much employed as masonic symbols. Sometimes a single pillar is represented, having a capital adorned with leaves, and surmounted by a terrestrial globe; sometimes two pillars stand together; and sometimes three. The pillar is always a symbol of support and stability. It calls us to think of our continual dependence on God for support in all our undertakings, and for the stability of all our works. It reminds us that He upholds the world by His power, and therefore it is fitly surmounted in Masonic symbolism by the globe, either celestian or terrestrial; for the world which God upholds is the cosmos, the whole universe. It reminds us also how He led His people through the wilderness, going before them in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night, and encourages us to put our trust in Him always for guidance and protection. Moreover, it leads us to think of the promise to those who trust in Him and serve Him, resolutely yet humbly addressing themselves to the discharge of all their duties in this world...It is believed that the two pillars of brass which Solomon set up in the porch of the Temple were intended as symbols to remind the Jews of these, and so of all the sufferings of their fathers in the wilderness, of all the goodness of God towards them, and all the great works which He wrought on their behalf. (Paton, Chalmers Izett,Freemasonry: its symbolism, religious nature, and law of perfection, 1873, Pg. 120)

"First of all, it is necessary to know that Solomon's Temple follows the general structure of the Egyptian, Phoenician, and Mesopotamian temples. Both pillars, often mentioned in Freemasonry teachings, are the two colums of the entrance named Jakin and Boaz. They have no architectural function and were present on both sides of the entrance to the Jerusalem Temple. You can find their description in the Bible,in the Book of Kings, and 1 and 2 Chronicles. In Masonic temples, these pillars are generally surmounted repectively by an Earth's globe and a celestial globe. In some countries, their design is very close to the Bible's text, but generally their design varies according to the general style of the temples. There are very good examples of this in the wonderful temples of New York and Philadelphia. In each of these, the main architectural styles of the Western Tradition are represented, from Egypt to the modern epoch. It is always difficult to limit the analysis of a Hebrew word because this language can be the subject of long and complex interpretations. However, the Hebrew names of these pillars can cast some light on their meaning.

The pillar Jakin is derived from the word Jehovah and the verb establish, and traditionally means "God will establish His House."

The pillar Boaz is derived from the prefix in and the word strength and traditionally means "in strength." A little further study conncts these pillars to the pillars of the Qabalistic Tree. The first one is associated with the idea of mercy and the second one severity.

It is obvious that these pillars were inherited from the obelisks of the Egyptian tradition, which were in front of the entrance of the temple. These pairs of stone columns also stood at the entrance of many oriental sanctuaries such as Khorsabad, Tyre, and Hieropolis. Today in Freemasonry, they are generally located inside the temple and function as useful symbolic elements for meditation and teaching purposes. However, you can sometimes find these pillars on the outside, as in front of the Masonic Hall in Montreal, Canada. (Biasi, Jean-Louis, Secrets and Practices of the Freemasons, 2011, pg.42)

"Such free-standing pillars were a feature of the Phoenician and other Temples of Western Asia. The names Jachin and Boaz are not now translated with the same assurance as formerly. Various meanings have been assigned and one of the more suggestive explanations is that they refer to Baal and Jachun, the latter being the Phoenician verbal form of the same signification--He will be--as the Hebrew Jahweh, both words having been used as synonyms for Deity...To a Phoenician Temple architect such as Hiram abiff, Hachin and Boaz would appear as natural additions to such a religious structure..."(Mackey, Albert G., Haywood, H.L. Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, 2003. pg. 781)

Robert Hewitt Brown in his Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy, says that Boaz, is derived from "bo" motion, haste; and "az" fire, i.e. the sun, the great moving fire. He also says that Jachin, clearly refers to the moon. He says that the connection of the globes on the pillars was at one time fully acknowledged to be connected to the moon and sun, and they were sometimes depicted with a sun and moon over them.

"This correlation is particularly emphasized in the alchemical writing known as the "Emerald Tablet of Hermes", in which it says of the Philosopher's Stone that, "it's father is the sun, it's mother is the moon" Some have even seen the name "Hiram" as a Hebrew version of the name "Hermes"--who is credited with writing the alchemical text itself. (Whhen you take the letters that spell "Hiram" in Hebrew and emphasize a different set of vowels--since Hebrew has no vowels, then it can be pronounced "Herme"--which is the Greek Hermes). Coincidently, the word "Herme" in Greek also means "pillar", and atop the Masonic pillars are the two globes. In Hermes' Emerald Tablet he says, "as above so, below' as below, so above" in order to produce the Philosopher's Stone. On the Masonic pillars are emphasized the "above" and "below" that Hermes speaks of. The Greek Hermes was thr Roman Mercury--who was the messenger with a rod that had two snakes winding up it. this is why in some Masonic jurisdictions, the Junior and Senior Deacons have Mercury or Hermes on top of their rods. In other jurisdictions, the sun and moon are featured, which come directly from Hermes' Emerald Tablet. Again, from a qabbalistic standpoint, in the early alchemical diagrams of the qabbalistic tree (Jacob's Ladder), the middle pillar featured the sun, moon, and mercury--which would be the sun, moon, and Hiran--or sun, moon, and Master of the Lodge, represented by the burning tapers.(Hogan, Timothy, The Alchemical Keys to Masonic Ritual, pg. 26)

In addition to all of these interpretations, there is also Rosslyn Chapel. There are fourteen pillars delineating the choir of Rosslyn Chapel. Three of them are different; The Master Mason's Pillar, The Journeyman's Pillar and the Apprentice's Pillar.

On top of the Master Mason's pillar, in the Choir, is head of the murdered apprentice. It originally had a beard and moustache. This would indicate that the head is not that of the apprentice but the master mason, because apprentices were not allowed to have beards and moustaches in the Middle Ages.

The Apprentice Pillar has eight dragons or serpents at it's base that are intertwined with foliage in four double spirals coming from their mouths. There is a legend as previously mentioned that says the Master killed the Apprentice, which is similar to the story of Hiram Abiff. These pillars are then said to represent Jachin and Boaz.

The Journeyman's Pillar is linked to the story of Isis and Osiris. Osiris was locked in a sarcophagus by his brother Seth and set adrift on the Nile. Isis later found the coffin where it had washed ashore and a tree had grown around it in Lebanon. Seth found out that she had found Osiris' body and he cut it into pieces and scattered them. But before he had done this, Isis had become impregnated from Osiris' body. One interpretation would be that the Apprentice Pillar was a tree turned into a pillar, and that the Journeyman was in fact a journey-woman searching for Osiris.

Noah's Ark

Noah's Ark is another alchemical symbol that the Masons use.
"One of the remaining symbols of alchemy that is also significant to Masons was the Ark of Noah. To the alchemists, the myth associated with Noah related to the alchemical process itself. In the myth, the world is obsesses with material senses, representing earth; the a flood comes representing water and the digestion stage; after which Noah lets a dove go into the air, representing the air itself and distillation; and finally Noah lands on Mount Ararat and makes a burnt offering to God, representing fire and calcination. Not surprisingly, the word "Ararat" in Sanskrit means "Illumined one". Many Sanskrit words crossed over into the Bible, but few readers of the Bible would recognize them. Another example is the word "Nazorean"--which is usually interpreted by Biblical readers as "watcher". However, in
Sanskrit, the "Nazor" was the name of the third eye said to be opened at illumination. A "Nazorean" is then one whose third eye would be open, which may, in fact allude to the "eye of Deity" featured in the MM degree. Obviously this also alludes to Jesus the Nazorean--which is usually incorrectly interpreted as "Jesus of Nazareth" from the Greek. This third eye related to the pineal gland, situated right above and between the two eyes, which is in charge of regulating the glands of the autonomic nervous system. It also looks like a small pine cone--which is where it gets its name from.

Finally, as was shown in the alchemical process, the entire workd went through nine stages composed of the substance turning black, red and white three times. Therefore it went through three times three changes, which should be significant to some Masons in relating to the Grand Honors of Masonry....

Both the Scottish and York Rites of Freemasonry continue with further instruction on the alchemical process. For example, the Scottish Rite brother who achieves the 32nd degree in the southern jurisdiction receives a black hat--symbolic of the black stage of the work. If he receives the honor of receiving the KCCH, then he receives a red hat--alluding to the red phase of the alchemical work. If he then receives the high honor of receiving the 33rd degree, he will obtain a white hat--representing the last alchemical stage in the process. The association with black, red and white in alchemy and the Scottish Rite degrees is mentioned in the degrees themselves, and many of the degrees--like the 27th degree (Knight of the Sun or Prince Adept), go into great detail about alchemy itself."
(Hogan, Timothy, The Alchemical Keys to Masonic Ritual, pg. 27)

The Peace Sign, Tubal Cain and Vulcan

The Peace Sign supposedly came into popular use by Communists and leftist peace protestors in about 1958 and was 'designed' by Gerald Holtram.

But it's origins go back much further. The Roman Emperor, Nero, crucified Peter upside down, and this symbol called the Teutonic cross, resembled the event, and became a popular anti-Christian symbol. It is also called the Neronic cross.

The peace symbol (also called the "broken cross," "crow's foot," "witch's foot," "Nero Cross," "sign of the 'broken Jew,'" and the "symbol of the 'anti-Christ''') is actually a cross with the arms broken. It also signifies the "gesture of despair," and the "death of man.''

The Nazis were heavily into mysticism. In Germany, this cross is called a 'todersrune' or death rune. It is believed that Germanic tribes used it in pagan rituals, particularly condemnations. Hitler ordered all death notices to have this symbol on them. It was also the official inscription to be placed on the grave markers of the SS. (Liungman, Carl G. Symbols--Encyclopedia of Westers Signs and Ideograms, 2004, pg. 209)

Anton LaVey, who founded the Church of Satan, had this sign behind his altars.(Nichols, Larry A, Mather, George, Schmidt, Alvin J., Encyclopedic Dictionary of Cults, Sects, and World Religions, 2010)

The symbol's origin in history proves it to be the visual mystic character for 'Aum' (the split 'Y'). This is the sacred word to the Hindu. Chanting 'Aum' is supposed to help awaken 'the serpent power of Brahma' at the base of the human spine. Occultist Albert Pike also identifies this symbol as mystical in his book on Freemasonry Morals and Dogma.

If you turn it around so that the arms point upward, it is a Pythagorian emblem for the course of life, one arm or branch leads to good and the other to evil. It is also easy to see that if you look at the center as a phallic image and the v shape as representing the feminine, together it is a symbol of fertility.

It is also said to be a representation of the initiation into Satan or Pagan religions. The initiate goes into a circle drawn on the ground and breaks the arms on a cross and throws it down to renounce Christianity and God.

In the Bible, Tubal is listed as one of the sons of Japeth, which means it represented a nation. Genesis 4:22 says that Tubal-cain was the "forger of all instruments of bronze and iron" The nation of people known as Tubal were known for metalurgy. One of the first things made by forging was weapons. The other was plows. Josephus, the historian, is said to have written that he achieved great things in the art of war.

Sanconiatho, was a Phoenician author, who is supposed to have flourished before the Trojan war, probably, as Sir William Drummond suggests, about the time when Gideon was Judge of Israel, and who collected the different accounts and traditions of the origin of the world which were extant at the period in which he lived. He attempted to gather together all of the different accounts of the beginning of the world. The Phoenician's were at least in close contact and association with the Hebrews, and many believe they are related, so he would have had access to the Hebrew story of the origin of metalurgy. He called the man he wrote about Chrysor. The Hebrew word for a smith is, choresor. Some of Sanconiatho's work was added to Philo's history. Sanconiatho wrote that Tubal Cain was the same as Hephaistos. Hephaistos' Roman equivalent is Vulcan. It has been speculated that the prefix 'T' or 'Tu' is Phoenician, and that if you drop it you are left with Balcan. And in the Phoenician language, the 'B' an 'V' are interchangeable, which would give you Vulcan.

"Tubal Cain is the same as Vulcan, a sun god, who was associated with fire, lightingbolts and light." (Jackson, John, Chronological Antiquities, 1752, pg. 139)This is not unlike Lucifer's attributes. Did the people in charge of writing for the television show, Star Trek, know about the occult connotations, when they decided to make the Vulcan hand sign appear to be a 'V'? Masons sometimes wear pins that resemble a cane with two balls on it. This is a reminder that the password to the Third Masonic Degree is Tubal Cain. It is actually as pun, 'a two ball cane.' (Mackey, Albert G., Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, 1879, pg.836)

What he is saying is that it is a sexual pun. You can use your own imagination to figure out what the parts represent.

"When the Mason learns that the key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mastery of his craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply energy. He must follow in the footsteps of his forefather, Tubal-Cain, who with the mighty strength of the war god hammered his sword into a ploughshare.'' Manly Palmer Hall

When you hold up your hand and make the peace sign or when you look at the peace sign, it is shaped like a 'V'.

The letter 'V' is the Roman numeral for five. Adam Weishaupt used it to symbolise the 'Law of Fives."

In Hebrew 'V'(Van) means 'nail'. It is said that one of Satan's secret names is 'Nail." In the Encyclopedia of Occultism, there are testimonies given by witches that Satan told them to use nails to injure people.

Matthew 10:34
Jesus said:
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."

The 'V' sign made with the hand meant 'Victory' to WWII soldiers, the origin of that is believed to be that ancient solders would hold up their hand this way and show it to an enemy who they had just hit with an arrow, to indicte that this was the hand that the arrow had just flown from.

Albert Pike

Albert Pike was not just some renegade Mason who was going against standard Masonic beliefs. He was Grand Master of the Central Directory of Washington, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Charleston and Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry.( Allsopp, Fred W., Albert Pike a Biography, 1992) But he also authored books on other subjects. He wrote, Legenda Magistralia, Ritual of the New and Reformed Palladium, Ritual of Elect Magus, and the Book of Apadno. The last book is about Satanic. He was a member of the Order of the Palladium, which was a Luciferian organization.

If you still think that the Masons are harmless and entitled to their beliefs, no matter how bizarre, you might consider that Albert Pike was planning for WWI and WWII long before they occurred.

“The First World War must be brought about in order to permit the Illuminati to overthrow the power of the Czars in Russia and of making that country a fortress of atheistic Communism.
The divergences caused by the “agentur” (agents) of the Illuminati between the British and Germanic Empires will be used to foment this war.

At the end of the war, Communism will be built and used in order to destroy the other governments and in order to weaken the religions.”

“The Second World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences between the Fascists and the political Zionists.

This war must be brought about so that Nazism is destroyed and that the political Zionism be strong enough to institute a sovereign state of Israel in Palestine. During the Second World War, International Communism must become strong enough in order to balance Christendom, which would be then restrained and held in check until the time when we would need it for the final social cataclysm.”

“The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the “agentur” of the “Illuminati” between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World.

The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil.

Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view.

This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time.”

Albert Pike – August 15, 1871, letter to Giuseppe Mazzini. William Guy Carr, Pawns in the Game, p. xv.

Mazzini was a like minded individual. “We must allow all the federations to continue just as they are, with their systems, their central authorities and their diverse modes of correspondence between high grades of the same rite, organized as they are at the present, but we must create a super rite, which will remain unknown, to which we will call those Masons of high degree whom we shall select.
With regard to our brothers in Masonry, these men must be pledges to the strictest secrecy. Through this supreme rite, we will govern all Freemasonry which will become the one international center, the more powerful because its direction will be unknown. “

Giusseppe Mazzini – January 22, 1870. Lady Queensborough, Occult Theocracy, pp. 208-209

Guisseppe Mazzini and Albert Pike formed the New and Refomed Palladian Rite together, in 1870. Pike was the President of the Supreme Dogmatic Directory, with the title, Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry. Mazzini was the head of The Sovereign Exectutive Directory of High Masonry, with the title of Sovereign Chief of Political Action As their titles imply, Pike was given authority over dogma and Mazzini would make all of the political decisions.

Palladianism is Luciferian and Neo-Gnostic. It is dualist in that it teaches, that there isa God of Light and Goodness struggling for humanity against the God of Darkness and Evil. These gods are equal to one another, and contrary to what you might believe, they teach that Lucifer is the God of Light and Goodness. The Palladium is a statue of a male goat, with a woman's breasts and large blackwings. It was believed to be in the possession of the Templars, who called it Baphomet. Supposedly, a man named, Isaac Long, bought it from the executioner after Jacobus Burgundus Molenis (Jaques de Molay) was executed. He brought it to Charleston in 1801. It is used in ceremonies at the Reformed Palladian Rite lodges which are called 'triangles.' You can look it up in New Catholic World, 1906 and in Arthur Edward Waite, New Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, 2003.

Those recruited and initiated into Palladianism's lower degrees were those who were also from the highest degrees of Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

The Pallium Rite combines the Grand Lodges, Grand Orient, all 99 degrees of Memphiz-Mitzraim, and 33 degrees of the Scottish Rite. Therefore, high-level Freemasonry contains the entire practice of Memphis-Mizraim. They are not directly part of the power structure of the Masonic lodges, but they control them by recruiting from those upper level Masons who are member of the controlling bodies of Masonic lodges. In other words, upper level Masons who hold offices in their lodges and regional councils, are those who are recruited, and then take the teachings of the Order of the Palladium back with them.

Occult means 'secret.'
Isaiah 48:16 "Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me."

Christ said, "For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear" (Mark 4:22-23)

According to John18:20 Jesus did not keep secret knowledge from us. "Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing."

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

How are So Many Misled

The Sun enters each heavenly house or sign of the zodiac at the 30th degree and leaves it at the 33rd degree. The ancients said that God's son began his ministry at the age of 30 and died at the age of 33.

Freemasons are not told the truth of who they are worshipping until they reach the 30th degree. The reason the 33rd degree is the highest degree is because noone can rise higher than the sun.
